Fail baby ... Fail!

The other day a friend had this photo on some profile saying "Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Fail Again. Fail Again. Fail better.", instantly, to my mind jumped a quote i didn't know of whom it was saying something similar, but eventually suggesting not be a fool, i googled it, and found it, it was: "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Then give up. No use being a damned fool about it.", by W. C. Fields, while looking it up, i ended with a bunch of quotes in pages i already had opened in tabs ... so i thought i'll make use of it ... err... maybe i just didn't like our friends quote :) .

I wanted to post them all to the good friend, accompanied with a slap, but ... well ... as we say in palestinian arabic "'3arashet", anyway, here goes some of them, and of course copied and pasted from various places ...

# If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you tried.
# If at first you don't succeed, failure may be your style.
# If at first you don't succeed, redefine success.
# If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.
# If at first you don't succeed, try a shorter bungee.
# If at first you don't succeed, give up, no use being a damn fool.
# If at first you don't succeed, look in the trash for the instructions.
# If at first you don't succeed, quit; don't be a nut about success.
# If at first you don't succeed; call it version 1.0.
# If you try and don't succeed, cheat. Repeat until caught. Then lie.
# Trying is failing with honors.
# Failure is not an option - it's a lifestyle.
# I didn't fail, i just found a 100 way to do it wrong.
# If at first you don't succeed, find out if the loser gets anything.
# Try as hard as we may for perfection, the net result of our labors is an amazing variety of imperfectness. We are surprised at our own versatility in being able to fail in so many different ways.

I loved this one, by Agatha Christie "The happy people are failures because they are on such good terms with themselves they don't give a damn."

Well, this is some of what i found a little realistic stuff, the rest is full of "positive" bullshit, and almost encouragement to fail that left me with the impression that there is certainly a subset of people who actually don't mind failing at all because they actually believe it adds up to their "experience", and since failing is trivial, so lets gather "bonus points" while being almost "idle" al; all we need to do is to fail ... i can imagine they even fail to die! they'll probably shoot them selves in the knee to add to their experience in suiciding.

I really didn't like Winston Churchill quote: Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm.

Note:Yes, i understand what the quote means, yes ... yes ... yes dear ... yes i understand, yes i agree this is a superficial understanding ... yes, on purpose ... yes ... i know its twisted ... yes ... SHUT UP!
